Li Chun: Time to Deposit Money

Lichun 立春, also known as the Beginning of Spring, usually falls on either the third, fourth or fifth February. In 2022, Lichun falls on the 4th of February 2022. On this day, farmers celebrate with special events, worship and offerings to Toaist or Buddhists gods for a bountiful and abundant new year. In Singapore, since we do not have seasons and are not agriculturally driven, we celebrate by depositing cash into our bank accounts. This signifies “planting” money into our bank accounts. 

On the 4th of February 2022, remember to deposit money into your bank account. For extra good luck, here are the auspicious timings you should deposit your money according to your Chinese zodiac. 

How much should you deposit? 

Any amount would be fine but depositing auspicious numbers such as $8, $88 or $888 would be even better!
