God of Fortune Chai Shen Yeh is also known as Zhang Gong Ming is one of the most influential & powerful wealth gods throughout the world. He not only attracts wealth luck but he also protects against disaster pertaining to any current financial success. He is believed to be so kind and compassionate that any prayers made to him will be answered. Despite his benevolent nature, he is often carved in statue riding on a black tiger as a symbol of power or with a gold ingot. Many pray to him during the Lunar New Year to change their fortune and wealth luck for the upcoming year.

So, how does one invite Cai Shen Ye into their homes so as to enhance their fortune and wealth luck for the New Year? Here are some tips that you can adopt:

2. Dress up - Dress up and look presentable during the Eve of Chinese New Year as you would want to honour and welcome Cai Shen into your home once the clock strikes 12. 
3. Preparations - Before midnight, make sure to light three candles and place it on your dining table. Light 3 incense sticks and make sure to open all the windows and doors to welcome Cai Shen into you home. Stand and face your window or main entrance and bow three times, you can also recite a mantra or prayer of your choice and finally, formally invite Cai Shen into your home. Do also state that Cai Shen is welcome to enter your home. Once done, close all the windows and doors to signify that Cai Shen has entered your home. 
4. Placement - Another alternative to welcome Cai Shen into your home is to use an image or figurine of him and place it at specific sectors to activate wealth luck.  Firstly, it is recommended to place a figurine or image of Cai Shen in the Wealth sector according to your home’s Bagua Map. If placed on an altar, it is best to let the figurine face the window and towards the sky. If not possible, the figurine can be placed facing the main entrance.
